 I'm Lorraine Hill and I am passionate about God and His Word because I came to a relationship with Christ by reading the entire Bible cover to cover. So I love God’s Word and its transforming power in our lives. The Bible has the amazing ability to set us free…free from sin, free from death and free from all the deceptive lies in the world. No matter where we are in our Christian walk, and we are all at different places, we all need His freedom!

I have been teaching the Bible for over twenty-five years and founded  Captivated by God Ministries because I wanted to see God’s people love the Lord whole-heartedly, gain a deeper understanding of the Word, and understand their purpose so they could bring Him glory.  Captivated by God Ministries is committed to the in depth teaching of God’s Word because all truth is God's truth. And sometimes, the truths we like least are the truths we need most.

I have been married to my husband Shawn for 28 years. We live in a suburb of Houston, Texas and have three children: identical twin boys, Joshua and Noah, and a sweet girl, Hannah. It’s been a crazy ride for us…our twins were born prematurely at 28 weeks, weighing a little over 2 pounds. They spent months in the hospital and came home, weighing 4-5 pounds on monitors and machines. But God is always faithful and walked with us through that challenging time and the many other times that followed. The boys are now 22 and you would never know they were premies!

In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, and getting together with my girlfriends. I also love to travel and hope to one day visit China and parts of Africa.
